When it comes to beauty, there are thousands of tips, tricks and so called rules, that can help you look your best. Some will save you money, some will save you time, and others are ways to make the most of what Mother Nature gave you. What’s for sure, though, is that, no matter how much you think you know, someone will always have discovered a beauty tip or hack that you hadn’t heard of. Whether you are new to the world of beauty tips, or you think you know them all, here are ten more beauty secrets that every girl should know.
1. Always try before you buy
There are some makeup products that you really do have to try out before you buy them. You may be able to get away without trying things like eyeliner, eyeshadow and lip-gloss, but you need to test powder, lipstick, foundation and blush in your own skin. When you do test makeup, make sure you do it in a brightly lit area and that way you will really be able to see what it will look like.
2. How to get full lips without Botox
If you have small lips, you don’t have to go the extreme measure of Botox to make them fuller. Just dab some peppermint oil, cayenne pepper or cinnamon on your lips and that will fill them out. These things will, ever so slightly, irritate the skin and make your lips swell and look much fuller.
3. Shea butter is a life saver
No girl should be without Shea butter! You can use it as a makeup remover, make your own lip-gloss with it, and it rehydrates dry and chapped lips fast too. Apply it sparingly to very dry patches of skin and it will soon have that healed up as well. It’s great for dry skin on your hands and feet, but be wary of using too much of it in your face, because it can clog up the pores and cause pimples.
4. When can you skip sunscreen?
There is a simple answer to that question and that answer is never! Whether it’s a brilliantly sunny day outside or not, the sun’s rays can still damage your skin and those rays can come through the clouds and windows too. The secret to beautiful and younger looking skin is to use sunscreen every single day.
5. Tame flyaways with moisturiser
When you get those strands of hair that won’t lay flat the easiest way to tame them is with a bit of moisturiser. Just put a small drop of moisturiser in the palm of your hand, about the size of a small coin, run your hands together, and then run your hands lightly over the stray strands of hair. Don’t use too much moisturiser, though, or it will make your hair look greasy.
6. How to distract attention away from flaws
Concealer is the obvious choice of makeup to disguise flaws and blemishes on the skin, but did you know that your lipstick can help too? Whatever skin tone you have, a warm pink shade of lipstick will distract people’s eyes away from any blemishes on the skin.
7. Don’t have your shower too hot
When it’s cold outside, it’s tempting to turn up the heat on your shower and enjoy that steaming hot water. If you have the water too hot, though, it will make your skin dry out and become rough. Very hot water strips all the natural oils out of your skin and if you then run yourself dry with a towel, you will make your skin rough. Shower with warm water and pat yourself dry and that will help lock the moisture in.
8. Choose the right products for your skin type
When you are choosing moisturisers and cleansers, it is important that you select ones that are right for your skin type. If you want flawless skin, don’t be fooled into thinking that any product will work fine because products that have been designed for your skin type really will work better for you.
9. Keep your eyes wide open when you apply eyeliner
Open your eyes wide when you apply liquid eyeliner or the line around your eyes will look uneven when your eyes are in their natural position. To apply perfect eyeliner, start by drawing three dashes; one in the inside corner, one in the middle and one in the outer corner. Then, finish off by connecting the three dashes with a line.
10. How to stop eyeshadow creasing
The biggest cause of eyeshadow creasing is the oil that is trapped underneath the makeup. To remedy this, use pressed powder or an eyeshadow base before you apply eyeshadow. If creasing is a particular problem for you, try using powdery eyeshadows because they are usually better. Read more...http://www.beautyandtips.com/beauty-2/10-beauty-secrets-all-girls-should-know/
